Grossman on How Gender Intersects with Autism: Born Curious
Communication Sciences & Disorders Professor and FACE Lab Director Ruth Grossman talked about her research into gender and autism on Born Curious, a podcast of the Harvard Radcliffe Institute.
In the episode, Grossman talks with co-hosts Ivelisse Estrada and Heather Min about how gender plays into autism diagnosis rates of boys and girls, and her goal of creating “a better roadmap that includes autistic females in research, advocacy, and service delivery.”
During the 2023-2024 academic year, Grossman was on leave as a Radcliffe Fellow, where she studied the intersection of gender and autism.
