Announcement: Graduate and Professional Studies Dean

Dear Emerson Community:

I am pleased to share that after two and a half years as Interim Provost, Jan Roberts-Breslin will return to her role as Dean of Graduate and Professional Studies in January 2025, following a one-semester sabbatical during the Fall 2024 semester. Current Interim Dean Kim McLarin has graciously agreed to extend her time with Graduate and Professional Studies until January 2025 to provide continuity and stability through this transition. I have consulted with incoming Provost Alex Socarides, who enthusiastically supports this plan. 

I am deeply grateful to Jan and Kim for their dedication to Emerson at this time when graduate programs and professional studies play such an essential part in our future success. I am also very grateful to the Search Committee members and committee chair, Lisa Wisman-Weil, for their efforts to date in this search, which has now been closed.
