Pittman Named GNAC Men’s Volleyball Defensive POTY & First Team All-Conference

Emerson men’s volleyball Neiko Pittman ’24 was named the Greater Northeast Athletic Conference’s Men’s Volleyball Defensive Player of the Year.

Pittman was also named First Team All-Conference. This is the first major GNAC award for Pittman. He led the Lions, whose season ended in a loss to #1 seed Wentworth in the GNAC semifinals. That was the second time Emerson’s program had made it that far in the playoffs.

Pittman led Emerson in most statistical categories and was second in the GNAC in kills per set (3.50), total kills (189) and points per set (4.30). Additionally, the junior was sixth in total digs (119), seventh in digs per set (2.20) and blocks (.76) and 11th in hitting percentage at .265. 

Pittman was named the GNAC Defensive Player of the Week on March 6 and was selected to the Men’s Volleyball Honor Roll twice.
