Miller on Pole Dancing’s Initial Use : Giddy

Marlboro Institute for Liberal Arts & Interdisciplinary Studies senior affiliated faculty member Cynthia Miller spoke to Giddy about the history of pole dancing, and that all types of pole dancing had one thing in common.

While it wasn’t always associated with eroticism, it was always about physicality and the body as art, using the pole to illustrate how graceful, strong and flexible the human body can be.
