COVID Update: Office of the Arts and COVID Policies

A message from Office of the Arts:

We are writing today to clarify how and why some COVID-19 protocols will still apply in certain circumstances to Office of the Arts events and participants.

Based on the frequency and number of larger gatherings hosted within the Office of the Arts venues, and to remain in close alignment with most live entertainment venues within the city, mask wearing will remain mandatory. In addition, food and/or beverage consumption will not be permitted in conjunction with events, until further notice. To be admitted to these venues, audiences will be required to show proof of full vaccination, or proof that they have received a negative COVID-19 test result from a PCR test (taken no more than 72 hours prior to arrival) or a same-day antigen test.

These protocols apply to the following on-campus venues: Emerson Cutler Majestic Theatre; Emerson Paramount Center (Robert J. Orchard Stage, Jackie Liebergott Black Box, and Bright Family Screening Room); and the Tufte Performance and Production Center (Semel Theater, and Greene Theater).  Please note that the Emerson Colonial Theatre is operated independently, and determines its COVID-19 protocols separately.

For further information, please visit the Theatres of Emerson College Public Health page.

If you have any questions about the above information please contact OAcovid19@emerson.edu directly.
