Listening Sessions: Vice President for Equity & Social Justice

Greetings Students, Staff, and Faculty,

We are happy to share that the College has engaged Charlene Aguilar of Witt/Kieffer to lead the search for Emerson’s next Vice President for Equity & Social Justice. This search will be chaired by Ruthanne Madsen, Vice President of Enrollment and Interim Supervisor of the Social Justice Center, with a search committee of students, staff, faculty, and Board members who will be central to the process.

The next Vice President for Equity & Social Justice will join Emerson at a pivotal moment as we transition senior leadership and recognize the challenges and opportunities of diversity, equity, and justice work at the local, national, and global levels. We also recognize the importance of involving all Emerson community members in this process. As such, we will begin by holding listening sessions with Charlene Aguilar for members of the Emerson community to share their aspirations for the position and person who will advance Emerson’s work in equity and social justice.

The Community Listening Session dates and Zoom link are as follows:

Monday, December 6, 11:00am – 12:30pm

Tuesday, December 7, 9:00 – 10:30am

Friday, December 10, 12:00 – 1:30pm
