Kimball on Election and Polling: Bloomberg

Assistant professor and director of Emerson Polling Spencer Kimball gives his perspective on this election race and polling indicators as compared to 2016 in a Bloomberg article, “Trump Bid to Repeat Poll-Defying 2016 Win Confronts Reality.” Kimball and other leaders from major polling entities describe the differences between then and now and what key factors are at stake.

Kimball says Biden is targeting Trump’s base, older white voters, in comparison to Clinton, who focused on Latino voters.

I would say that [Biden is] holding a stronger lead than Clinton, but in a different coalition. We’re also not seeing the tightening in some of these states that we saw with Clinton and Trump.
