Gales Webb ’77 Promoted to VP at Corp. for Public Broadcasting

Jacquie Gales Webb ’77 was named The Corporation for Public Broadcasting’s (CPB) vice president for radio, according to Inside Radio. She will be in charge of developing and implementing strategies that allow public radio stations to create quality, multiplatform content and grow audiences.

Prior to her promotion, Gales Webb, a former Emerson Alumni Board member and past president of the Emerson DC Alumni Chapter, was director of content for CPB, which she joined in 2005 as a project manager.

“Jacquie has been instrumental in CPB’s work developing and implementing policies that support and strengthen local public radio stations and programming,” CPB Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Michael Levy said in a release. “Her experience as an award-winning producer, together with her years at CPB, will be an asset as we evaluate strategic efforts to strengthen public media’s role in building a civil society and reaching underserved audiences.”
