Jennifer Coolidge Rode a Giant Sparkly Shoe in a Parade… Because of Course She Did!

Was there any point in Emerson College alumna Jennifer Coolidge’s ’85 career that she thought she’d end up in a giant sparkly shoe celebrating Mardi Gras? Well, she is a New Orleans resident…

So lo and behold look what happened this year when Coolidge was the Honorary Muse of this year’s Krewe of Muses parade. She was riding down the street in a 17-foot tall fiber optic encrusted red pump being towed by a red tractor!

Fellow alumna Kelsey Foster ’10 shared a video of the comedienne’s float on February 22.

Coolidge is known for her roles in the American Pie movies, Friends, Legally Blonde, and more.

According to the Krewe of Muses’ website, the organization, “…is distinguished as the first all-female Mardi Gras krewe to parade at night uptown New Orleans. In Greek mythology, the Muses are the nine daughters of Zeus.”
