Journalism Department Honors Students, Alumni Achievements

Journalism students were honored for their skills, achievements, and professionalism Saturday, April 20, at the 2019 Journalism Awards, held at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Boston.

Boston 25 reporter and anchor Bob Ward ’83, a veteran of New England broadcast news for more than 35 years, was presented with the RTDNA Lifetime Achievement Award by WCVB-TV Channel 5 assistant news director Gerry Wardwell ’80.

The ceremony was emceed by Ciara Speller, MA ’17, weeknight anchor at WWLP-TV in Springfield, Massachusetts, and awards were presented by various alumni journalists.
