Community Advisory Re: Veterans Day Parade

Dear Emerson Community,

The City of Boston’s Transportation Department has released an informational bulletin concerning driving and parking restrictions for Veterans Day, Sunday, November 11.

On Sunday, there will be a Veterans Day Parade that will take place in Boston.  Parade marchers will gather on the Boston Common prior to the parade, which will start at 12:00 p.m.

The Veteran’s Day Parade route will begin from Charles Street, taking a left onto Boylston Street, a left onto Tremont Street, straight onto Cambridge Street, and onto City Hall Plaza.

All traffic will be detoured away from the parade route between 11:50 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

There will be no stopping or parking of motor vehicles on Boylston Street from Charles Street South to Tremont Street, and on Tremont Street, from Cambridge Street to Boylston Street during these hours.

Please allow yourself extra time if you need to commute into the area, and be aware that MBTA trains will be impacted by the parade.

Sincerely,

Chief Robert Smith

Emerson College Police Department
