Talent Takes on Climate Change at Emerson Green Gala

A formidable pool of Emerson College performing artists joined forces to foster awareness and excitement about sustainability at the second Green Gala, held Friday, April 22, at the Paramount Mainstage.

This year, $1,000 prizes were awarded to the best live performance and video, as decided by a panel of judges from across the fields of television, film, fine arts, nonprofits, and government. Live performance winners were the Emerson Shakespeare Society, who did a green take on The Tempest, and filmmakers Matthew Benson ’18, Jordan Gross 17, and Anthony Zambito ’18.

The evening featured acts ranging from urban dance to standup comedy to musical theater. The event was organized by Jade Zaroff ’16, who created the gala last year.
