Mihailidis receives national media literacy award
Associate Professor Paul Mihailidis recently won a national media literacy education award.
Paul Mihailidis, associate professor in Marketing Communication, was recently awarded the National Media Literacy Education Research Award from the National Association for Media Literacy Education at its conference in Philadelphia.
The annual award recognizes a scholar who has a wide and deep impact on research in media, education, and civic engagement, both in pedagogy and the community.
At Emerson, Mihailidis teaches courses in media literacy and is associate director of the Engagement Lab.
He is also director of the Salzburg Academy on Media and Global Change in Austria.
