Alumni Weekend to celebrate milestones
Alumni Weekend will be held May 29-31, 2015.
Nearly 600 Emerson College alumni, faculty members, leaders, and their friends and family are expected to attend this year’s annual Alumni Weekend, held May 29 – 31 on the Boston campus.

Alumni from the class years ending in 0 and 5 will be returning to celebrate milestone reunions. In addition, the College will also be highlighting those groups and programs celebrating significant anniversaries:
· Thayer Lindsley Program at the Robbins Center (50th)
· Communication, Politics, and Law Association (CPLA) (30th)
· Kasteel Well Program (30th)
· Swolen Monkey Showcase (30th)
Events planned over the three days of Alumni Weekend include:
Friday, May 29
o The Alumni Weekend Boat Cruise featured Boston Harbor, featuring a DJ, photo booth, light appetizers, and a cash bar.
o The 7th Annual WERS Hall of Fame induction ceremony celebrating this year’s inductees: Ken Brady ’85, general sales manager, Seven Ridges Radio; Dean Cappello ’83, executive vice president and chief content officer, WNYC; Sonia Rincon ’01, reporter/anchor, 1010 WINS; Rob Rudnick ’77, owner and president, Colt Communications; and the late Richard “Dick” Woodies ’50, president, LMI Woodies Associates.
Saturday, May 30
o A special Thayer Lindsley Program lecture presented by Lois Kam Heymann ‘71, which has been approved for .2 ASHA CEUs.
o The All-Class Alumni Lunch for Emersonians of all years and their friends and families.
o A special tribute reception to celebrate the life and legacy of longtime trustee Helen Rose ’38.
o The Alumni and Student Showcase and featuring the 2015 alumni achievement award winners. Enjoy the spectacular talent of Emerson through student, alumni, and faculty performances at the Paramount Center, where the showcase will honor retiring Dean of Students Ron Ludman. Read about the recipients of the 2015 Distinguished Alumni Awards: President of Production at New Regency Productions Pamela Abdy ’95; President and CEO of Boston Children’s Museum Carole Charnow ’79; Senior Fellow of The Heritage Foundation Mike Gonzalez ’83; and Senior Theatre-Educator-in-Residence, Area Head, and Undergraduate Professor in Theatre Education at Emerson College Bethany Nelson, PhD ’82 . The College’s Young Alumni Achievement Award will be presented to Flora Charner ’04 , writer, multimedia journalist, and producer (Al Jazeera America, The Guardian, UN Women, Narratively).
Sunday, May 31: The Faculty and Alumni Brunch, reconnecting past Emerson students with their favorite professors and honoring retiring faculty members.
