Ketner consulting curator for Pollock mural

Joseph Ketner of the Visual and Media Arts Department is the consulting curator of an exhibition, Jackson Pollock’s Mural: Energy Made Visible, which opens at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Italy on April 24 before traveling to museums in Germany and Spain. The exhibit features Pollock’s most ambitious painting, Mural (1943), commissioned by Peggy Guggenheim and considered one of the most important paintings of the 20^th century.

Ketner serves as Foster Chair in Contemporary Art, and Distinguished Curator-in-Residence at Emerson.
