Lipper ’91 will live-tweet on Monday, April 20

David LipperLife, liberty, and the pursuit of acting—that is what students and alumni will be discussing with David Lipper ’91 this Patriots Day.

Lipper, known for acting in Sons of Liberty and Full House, will live-tweet from @LipDude for 30 minutes beginning at 3:00 pm (EST) on Monday, April 20. @EmersonCollege will re-tweet many of the comments.

Emersonians will be able to tweet Lipper questions about his career. He is perhaps best known for playing the character Viper on Full House, and most recently the character Amos on the Sons of Liberty miniseries on the History Channel. Participants may tweet questions about anything from learning how to load a colonial musket to auditioning for roles. He has acted with Jane Seymour, Vin Diesel, and Nicolas Cage.

Lipper has also appeared on the television shows NCIS and The Young and the Restless. One of his recent films was Pioneers’ Palace, which was featured at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.

Lipper began his acting career at Emerson College. One of his most notable roles was playing Rapunzel’s Prince in the 1991 production of Into the Woods.

In a recent interview with AfterBuzz TV, Lipper discussed at length the strong impact Emerson had on his career. He attributed his work ethic, voice preparation, and even his tap dancing skills to his education.

Currently, Lipper is filming Exodus to Shanghai, a romantic thriller set in the midst of the Holocaust. Lipper’s character is a Nazi, who is the lead antagonist. The film is directed by Anthony Hickox and is shooting in Romania, where Lipper also filmed Sons of Liberty.

The live chat on Monday, April 20, will take place while Lipper is on set in Romania.
