Sportscaster awards for recent Journalism grads
Two recent graduates of the Journalism Department are being recognized by the Sportscasters Talent Agency of America (STAA), which honors the most outstanding collegiate radio and television sportscasters in the country.
Ian Steele ’14 and Bianca Buono ’14 were named 2014 STAA All-Americans. Isaac Moore ’15 received an honorable mention.

Last year’s STAA grand prize, the Jim Nantz Award, went to Emerson graduate Ross Lippman ’13, who now works for the Fox and ABC affiliates in Burlington, Vermont.
“Receiving this award from STAA is such an honor,” said Buono, who worked for WEBN. “It’s always great to see your hard work pay off. For me, it’s even more rewarding to see that Emerson College has a growing reputation in the sports world. I’m very excited to see where this takes me and the many other sports broadcasters selected.”
Moore also recently worked for WEBN, while Steele recently worked for the Emerson Channel.
A banquet honoring the winners is scheduled for next month in Salisbury, North Carolina.
