Emerson LA remembers Dr. King

The students of Emerson College Los Angeles honored Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy of service to the community by volunteering with City Year to spruce up the Horace Mann Middle School in South Central Los Angeles on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, January 20.

The ELA students helped paint murals around the school’s campus. ELA students are asked to volunteer for civic engagement projects at least twice per semester.

The new Emerson Los Angeles center opened to its first round of students January 12.
