Beatriz Pilar Lim, MA ’13, has been chosen to receive this year’s Emerson College President’s Award.

The award is given to the graduating student who has the highest level of academic achievement among his or her peers in graduate programs at Emerson.

Lim, a graduating student in the Integrated Marketing Communication program, has a 4.0 grade point average in her master’s classes, and is an inspirational leader among her student peers.

LuAnn Reeb, graduate program director for IMC, said Lim “exhibits high standards of performance in every project” and projects “style, poise, expertise and an unrelenting supply of energy.”

“Bea is, without a doubt, going to be a stellar marketing professional,” Reeb said.

“Bea is a masterful synthesizer of ideas in the classroom,” said Assistant Professor Kristin Lieb, “a brilliant, insightful, and consensus-building project manager, and an incredibly kind, generous person whose positive energy is simply infectious. She’s a credit to our institution and will reflect the absolute best of Emerson College as she moves forward in her professional life.”

Lim plans to return to her native Philippines after graduation.
