HowlRound.com to feature new Emerson program
Starting Sunday, April 15, HowlRound, a popular theatre journal/blog, which is part of the Center for the Theater Commons (“The Commons”), is dedicating the entire week to online discussions about the establishment of The Commons at Emerson.
Under the direction of ArtsEmerson’s Executive Director Rob Orchard, and with the addition of two renowned leaders in the field of theatre development, David Dower and Polly Carl, The Commons, will include a residency program for playwrights to create new theatrical works, and promises opportunities for students and faculty to collaborate on theatre development and research. The program is coming to Emerson in July.
From April 15 – 20, look for posts on HowlRound.com about The Commons coming to Emerson. Sign up for HowlRound at HowlRound.com/subscribe/.
And don’t miss a chance to meet David Dower and Polly Carl at an open forum on Thursday, April 19 at 4:00 pm in the Semel Theater. “A Conversation with the Center for the Theater Commons” is a chance to learn more about The Commons and ask questions. Sponsored by the Office of the Arts and Performing Arts.
