Emerson staff volunteer time for Late Night Buffet
Students: Leave your books in your rooms, but bring your appetites!
Emerson faculty and staff will volunteer their time as servers at the traditional Late Night Buffet in the Little Building Dining Hall on Thursday (April 28). Students will pile into the dining hall at 9:00 pm and spend the next two hours surrounded by their favorite dishes, including French toast, chicken wings, breakfast burritos, and the crowd-pleaser: those scrumptious brownie waffles.
“Seeing the surprised looks and smiles on student faces when they see me, President Liebergott, and other members of the faculty and staff sporting aprons and chef hats is a real treat,” said Dean of Students Ronald Ludman.
The volunteers enjoy interacting with students in a relaxed atmosphere, and the event provides an opportunity for faculty and staff to give students one last encouraging push toward the end of the school year.
“Walking into the Dining Hall and seeing all the food is one of my favorite parts. It’s delicious, different, and there is a lot of it,” noted Amy Gutierrez ’13. “The staff really pulls out all the stops for the buffet and everyone is super-friendly.” Second to the Emerson staff volunteers, Gutierrez said, the tower of Rice Krispie treats is the best part of Late Night Buffet.
Finals begin Monday (May 2).
