Emerson Film Festival to light up Los Angeles this week

From the pounding cadences of The Cadet Experience by Film Production major Kevin Mastman ’10 to the haunting silence of In Loving Memory by Media Art major Alex Peacher, MFA ’12, the roster of student-made films to be screened this week at Emerson’s 11th Annual Film Festival will give attendees a sneak peek at the work of up-and-coming filmmakers.

The festival, to be held at the Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles on Thursday, March 3, also provides an exciting venue where students and alumni have an opportunity to network with invited guests from the film and entertainment industries. This year’s festival includes a tribute to President Jacqueline Liebergott.

The slate of films is: The Cadet Experience by Film Production major Kevin Mastman ’10; In Loving Memory by Media Art major Alex Peacher, MFA ’12; Of the Fog by Film Production major Alexander Yan ’11; The Greatest Bar by Media Art major Matthew Hashiguchi, MFA ’11; Hindsight by Film Production major Sean Hanley ’10; Prom Date by Film Production major Jessica Schoen ’11; Catch Wreck‑Fight Back by Film Production major Rene Dongo ’11; and Hull Wind by Television Production major Andrew Vella ’11.
