Upcycled Art Competition

March 28 @ 2:00 am - 4:00 pm EDT

Featured Category: BOOK ART!
Use books that would otherwise be recycled to give them new life as art! Forms of book art include folding, cutting, and gluing techniques.
How it Works
Begin creating your own work of art, either from an old library book (available in the library) or from other recycled materials! You may work in a team (you will be splitting your prize if you win one!).
If you don’t have time to work on a project, join us for the “Express” 1-hour competition! From 2-3 pm on Mar 28, participants will use provided materials to craft a work of art from recycled materials. Feel free to bring your own materials.
At 3 pm on Mar 28 in the Collab Space inside the library, all participants will present their final product to the panel of judges. Entries will be judged on artistic skill, innovation, and sustainability. All participants will be eligible for the three main prizes listed below. We will also award a separate prize to a participant in the Express 1-Hour category!
