Gather some friends and make a team to participate in Relay For Life at Northeastern University this spring. Relay For Life is a fundraising event to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Relay For Life has raised over $6.5 billion and is the largest non-profit fundraising event in the world. The money raised goes towards fighting cancer from all angles, including research, education, advocacy, patient services, and health equity. This year will be the 14th year of Relay For Life at Northeastern University. It will be on Friday, March 24th, 2023, from 6pm – 6am in Matthews Arena. Relay is an all-night event to signify the fight that cancer patients undergo. There are plenty of fun activities and performances and it is a great way to get involved with the Boston community while having fun with your team and making a difference for those in need.
The best way you can get involved in giving back and fighting cancer is through registering for Relay and getting others to register with you! All registration donation fees go to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives for cancer work. Once you have registered, fundraising towards your team’s goal is the next step! Fundraising is a quintessential element to Relay For Life where your fundraising efforts go directly to the American Cancer Society. Other ways to support also include recruiting your friends, teachers, peers, and family to register for Relay or dedicate a luminaria to a loved one that you Relay for. You can also link your fundraising page to your Facebook page through the website! You can also give donations directly through relayforlife.org/neu if you want to support a team, organization, or participant!
