Host:
Christian Alicea ’93 (Major: Mass Communications, TV Production concentration) is the Director of NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt, where he is responsible for the design and production of the flagship news broadcast of NBC News. He also leads the day to day production of breaking news and other large scale events for the NBC News Specials team, and directs Dateline NBC, and Nightly News Kids Edition. Christian has been a Peabody award finalist, is a three-time Emmy award winner, and began his career in Boston at WHDH.
Panelists:
Dawn DiCicco ’13 (Major: VMA: Studio Television Production) is a two-time Emmy-nominated Associate Director with experience in news, talk, and live event specials. She is currently an Associate Director at NBC News where she covers Nightly News with Lester Holt, TODAY, Meet the Press, and both breaking news and planned event specials. Prior to NBC, Dawn worked on talk shows including The View and The Wendy Williams Show. At Emerson, Dawn was an active member of The Emerson Channel, EIV, and The EVVYs.
Kyna Doles ’13 (Major: Broadcast Journalism) is Director of Owned Platforms at NBC News. Based in New York City, she works across the NBC News homepage, app and news partnerships.
Erin Farley ’15 (Major: Journalism) is a two-time Emmy award winning producer. She travels the country sharing stories about incredible everyday folks making a difference in their communities. Erin’s work in the mental health space was recently nominated for a News & Doc Emmy Award. She produces a wide range of stories from mental health to live weddings on the plaza and has produced in natural disaster zones.
Sophia Cristina Pargas ’24 (Major: Journalism, Marketing Communication) is an NBC News Associate in New York City.
Christina Roulette ’13 (Major: Producing for Television & Film) is Director, Entertainment Content Production & Operations at NBC Universal. She has worked as a physical production lead for ten years at companies including Matador Content and Hello Sunshine.
