Our community is heavy-hearted, angry, sad, and perhaps even numbed, as we absorb the news of an act of anti-Semitic graffiti right here on our Boston campus.
On Thursday January 23, from 2:00 to 6:00 am, and Friday January 24, from 5:00 to 10:00 am, the front door entrance to the Emerson College Police Department and the Barnes and Noble bookstore at 114 Boylston Street will be temporarily closed to prepare and pour concrete in front of the building.
Please be advised that the SIDEWALK CONSTRUCTION WORK WILL BEGIN EARLY FRIDAY MORNING, January 17, from 2:00 to 6:00 AM.
From 2:00 a.m. to approximately 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 15, and Thursday, January 16, the 114 Boylston Street entrance to the ECPD will be temporarily closed due to the sidewalk construction project.
Complementing Emerson’s goal of reaching carbon neutrality by 2030, the College has participated in the Green Ribbon Commission (GRC) for the last several years. The GRC unites Boston leaders to develop shared strategies that fight climate change and align with the City of Boston’s Climate Action Plan.

The Boston Globe shared Emerson’s plans for the first floor retail component of the renovated Little Building residence hall at the corner of Boylston and Tremont streets.
A taqueria, a bakery, an Asian noodle bar, and a juice bar, are all coming to the Little Building!
