Red Cross Halloween Fundraiser

We are partnering with Taylor Ranney and Maddie Lynch to raise money for the Red Cross! The Red Cross is an amazing organization that provides disaster relief, aid to victims of war, lifesaving blood drives, and community education.
We will be selling Lofthouse sugar cookies and Halloween popcorn hands to students… 2 for only $5 !
Proceeds go to the Red Cross to support their mission!

Clean Out Your Office Day

Your favorite event is back. Purge unwanted stuff and find some new gems at Emerson’s Clean Out Your Office (COYO) Day.

Printer Take-Back: Emerson has more than 300 individual printers on campus, contributing to our waste problem. Be a part of the solution. Give back your printer at COYO and get entered to win four AMC movie tickets.

Archives Consults: Confused about records retention schedules? Archives will consult with you on the spot. Want to know about storing records offsite at Iron Mountain? We can walk you through the process. Interested in shredding documents? We can tell you about our new destruction procedures.

Office Supplies: Drop off office supplies and decorations. Shop for free stuff. All remaining items will get donated to a local nonprofit. Recycle your working and non-working electronics. IT will wipe any data.

Clothing: Gently used or holey, we want them all. We’ll donate or recycle all clothing, including shoes.

WLP Reading Series Q&A: Tayari Jones

Tayari Jones is the author of four novels:  An American Marriage, an Oprah Book Club pick; Silver Sparrow, chosen for the NEA’s Big Read Library; The Untelling; and Leaving Atlanta. Jones holds degrees from Spelman College, Arizona State University, and the University of Iowa. She has received fellowships from the Radcliffe Institute For Advanced Studies, United States Artist Foundation, and Black Mountain Institute. She lives in Atlanta, where she is Professor of English and Creative Writing at Emory University.

Free and open to the public. Please RSVP by Sunday, October 27 on EventBrite. Non-Emerson guests must RSVP to be given security access to the event.

Also, you’ll learn more about how to receive SGA funding and how that process will work.

Jimmy’s specializes in Character based sketches and a commitment to traveling and performing outside of the Emerson community. As ambassadors for Emerson Jimmy’s performs all across the east coast.

Claim to Fame: Recipient of the one and only EVVY award for outstanding sketch group.
