Linda Hogan underneath tree

Linda Hogan, a writer-in-residence for the Chickasaw Nation, is an internationally recognized public reader, speaker, and writer of poetry, fiction, and essays. She is a former faculty member at Indian Arts Institute, and professor emerita at the University of Colorado.

Her most recent books are the essay collection The Radiant Lives of Animals (Beacon Press, 2020) and The History of Kindness, a collection of poems (Birchbark Books, 2020). Her other works include DARK. SWEET. New and Selected Poems (Coffee House Press, 2014); the long poem Indios (Wings Press, 2012), which is also a one-woman performance piece; Rounding the Human Corners (Coffee House Press, 2008); and People of the Whale (Norton, 2008), a critically acclaimed novel and Pulitzer nominee. Her novel Mean Spirit (Atheneum, 1990) won the Oklahoma Book Award, the Mountains and Plains Book Award, and was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize.

Order Linda’s titles before and after the event from Porter Square Books. If you’d like a signed book, put a note in your order comments that you’d like a signed copy and who you’d like it signed to. Personalized book requests due by end of the day on Thurs, Mar 18. Books will begin to be shipped two weeks after the event.
