WLP Faculty/Alumni Series: Asako Serizawa, MFA ’01

Asako Serizawa was born in Japan and grew up in Singapore, Jakarta, and Tokyo. A graduate of Tufts University, Brown University, and Emerson College, she has received two O. Henry Prizes, a Pushcart Prize, a Rona Jaffe Foundation Writers’ Award, and a fiction fellowship from the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown. Inheritors is her first book.
Moderated by Special Advisor to the Provost, Professor Maria Koundoura. Free and open to the public. Alumni and friends of Emerson, please join us! RSVP necessary by Sunday, February 28, 11:30 pm ET on Eventbrite. A Zoom link will be emailed the morning of the event.
Order Asako’s book before and after the event from Porter Square Books. If you’d like a signed book, put a note in your order comments that you’d like a signed copy and who you’d like it signed to. Personalized book requests due by end of the day on Wednesday, March 3. Books will begin to be shipped two weeks after the event.
