This year’s theme is The Year of Living Dangerously: Equity, Self-Care, and the Pursuit of Justice, and will feature panels with students, faculty, and special guests, with the goal of encouraging meaningful discussion around issues of race and racism on campus and beyond.
Topics will include: Caring for Yourself and Others, The Art of Survival, Immigration, Organizing for Social Justice, and Disrupting Mass Incarceration. The event begins with a keynote address, titled “1919 and Beyond,” presented by guest speaker, Dr. Eve. L. Ewing, a sociologist of education, writer, and assistant professor at the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration.
