Spring Flash Fiction Contest

Something strange is afoot, and we, with great satisfaction, introduce you to our Mystery contest. This season’s prompt is “The Missing.” We’re on the hunt for fiction that is curious and enigmatic. 
For this contest, we want to experience a springtime mystery. A peculiar absence of someone, or something. A trail of clues that seemingly don’t fit together. Red herrings that throw us for a loop. Suspenseful twists followed by an ending that we should have seen coming. 
It’s about the Mystery. The worried investigations, the peculiar cast of characters, the subtle hints and hidden pieces of evidence, the answers to all our questions… or not. It can be a mystery that recovers what was lost, comes to a conclusion a moment too late, or shows us how complex a mystery can be.
