Poetry Slam With Emerson Poetry Project

Emerson Poetry Project Slam Competitions return after a two year hiatus! After our Monday Night Poetry Open Mics, E.P.P. will be hosting poetry competitions, where both the performers and the judges are Emerson students!
Compete for glory! Compete to express yourself! Compete for points, which will earn poets a spot in our Emerson Poetry Slam Team Qualifying Slam at the end of the semester. Open Slams will be held on 9/19, 10/3, 10/24, 11/7, 11/21, and our LAST CHANCE Slam on 11/28.
Come by Little Building Room 227 with three poems prepared (all under three minutes) if you want to participate in the Slam! If you would prefer to be in the audience or judge a slam, also come by Little Building 227 on Monday Nights. Bring your friends! Bring the spirit of friendly competition! Bring your enthusiasm! The Emerson Poetry Project (E.P.P.) is dedicated to building a community of writers who want to share their original work, receive helpful feedback, and improve their craft through the medium of performance poetry. Every voice is important, and E.P.P. provides an open environment in which anyone and everyone is welcome to contribute. We hold weekly meetings consisting of open mics, slams, and featured poets.
