Origins: Strife

October 12, 2022 @ 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm EDT

Genesis 4 recounts the story of the first murder, and explores hard questions on why humans exclude, exploit, and destroy each other. Is God the true author of human strife? Is it our fault, is it the fault of the other? How does God fit into a world where humans do horrible things to each other? How do we move forward towards a vision of inclusion in the face of these questions? We will explore all of these questions guided by the reflections of theologian Miroslav Volf on this story.
