“Kinda Sus” Vigil

September 29, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm EDT

Sept. 29 marks the first anniversary of a tragedy that deeply impacted the lives of many members of the Emerson community. We’ll be paying tribute to all the victims and the brave students who survived the tragic and traumatizing experience of seeing a 3-word meme sticker they disapprove of. We will come together to remember those who we lost and to acknowledge there have been triumphs that came out of that tragedy.
We will also be remembering and mourning former TPUSA VP KJ Lynum, a Chinese student raised in Singapore. We lost her after she dropped out of Emerson because of the bullying and harassment she experienced on campus after Emerson president William Gilligan told every Emerson student that she was an “anti-Asian bigot” and SEAL and OISA accused her of distributing “xenophobic weapons” and called for her punishment.
Let’s come together and remember those who are no longer with us.
