Harlan Bosmajian Short Film Screening ‘In Transit’.

October 21 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Professor of cinematography Harlan Bosmajian, is hosting the first public screening of a short film he wrote and directed titled, In Transit.  The film is based on a Moth Radio presentation by writer Jay Dixit, and adapted for the screen by writer/director Bosmajian.

In Transit follows the story of Jay, an editor at an astronomy magazine, who is filming the Venus Transit, a rare celestial event.  As the event is about to take place, Jay receives a call from his estranged father, Madhu, telling him that his grandmother is on her deathbed in India.  This leads to a meaningful encounter between father and son at an airport restaurant.

In Transit was filmed over several days by Emerson students and faculty as key crew members, and features powerful performances by the Boston acting community.  There will be a Q&A after the screening with many of the cast and crew.
