Future Ancestral Technologies Gallery Talk with Exhibit Curator

November 14 @ 6:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Free
Emerson Contemporary presents multidisciplinary exhibitions and related public programming that feature contemporary artists who examine current social themes through new media art, performance, and emerging technologies. The program is led by our new Distinguished Curator-in-Residence and Foster Chair of Contemporary Art Theory and Practice Leonie Bradbury.
Bradbury gives an introduction to the exhibition she curated Future Ancestral Technologies: nágshibi, featuring works by New Mexico-based, multi-disciplinary artist Cannupa Hanska Luger. This Indigenous-centered exhibition uses science fiction and creative storytelling to radically reimagine our future.
Followed by a 7:00 pm screening of Warrior Women in the Bright Lights Screening Room, co-presented with the Bright Lights Film Series, the Roxbury International Film Festival, the Boston Women’s Film Festival and the Power to the People series.
