As required by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (Mass DEP), the College needs to gather comments from full-time staff on recommendations to improve public transit.
The College recently learned of a private event taking place tomorrow evening at the Emerson Colonial Theatre that is expected to fill the theatre and potentially draw significant crowds.
Emerson’s Los Angeles campus is safe; the fires are 16 miles away from ELA, and the air quality near campus remains unaffected. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and the devastation caused by these fires.
A Community Vigil in memory of our friend and Emersonian, Associate Professor Moses Shumow, will be held Tuesday, October 29, 12:00 pm, in the Semel Theater on the third floor of the Tufte Building.

It is with great sadness that we write to inform you of the sudden death of Associate Professor Moses Shumow, who was a 2001 graduate of Emerson’s MA in Broadcast Journalism program and a new addition to the Journalism faculty this fall.
